Most all environmentalists start out just doing one thing because they know it's a good cause, it's easier or, even more common, because it saves money. I was one of the latter -- everything I did that was green, I did it to reduce the impact on my pocketbook.

Do your kids love slow cooker mac and cheese six sisters? This restaurant located in the East Village will sure to be a hit! With many different varieties of baked Mac n Cheese to choose from or they can create their own! Eat in or Take out! This restaurant is very reasonably priced .

"Too old, too cold," my husband said, but I noticed the little register of interest hiding behind his eyes. He's not too old, but the cold water, well that's a deal breaker macaroni cheese fries him.

With two locations this is the ultimate themed restaurant. Scary decor and creepy hosts are sure to please your older children. If you are planning to go to this restaurant get there early as macaroni cheese there are usually long lines.

Let's face it, kids don't sit much. Traditional seating for the kids usually means empty tables all night. Between the dance floor slow cooker mac and cheese the games, you will be lucky if the kids will sit down to eat.

I realized very early that this was no ordinary restaurant in a theme park, one that relied on a captive audience. The chef, Steve Carideo, studied at the CIA in Hyde Park, NY. Loyal readers of my column know that I just recently covered the Culinary Institute of America's training HERE and HERE. Chef Carideo uses some of the finest local products from the area, including Allen Benton's famous ham. Every Southern lifestyle and food magazine sings Benton's praises (if that's not too bad a pun for a Dollywood restaurant), like Garden & Gun, Oxford American, Southern Living. etc.

Despite the sacrifices, I was able to successfully stretch our food stamp budget to allow for 3 daily meals, and even had a little bit left over at the end of the month.

Yes, it was the 80's. We all wore great vintage clothing bought at quirky shops that bought the clothing as rag lots. We'd go to the attic and climb in the great wooden crates pulling out the most amazing 1940's bias dresses and great tuxedo jackets. Those of us that could wield a simple needle made out like bandits, and our looks could not be duplicated. I was dumbfounded when some of my peers would not buy a gorgeous dress because it was too long.

Hopefully my experiences and advice on using food stamps will give you a better idea of what it's like and what can be done on a food stamp budget. Your results may vary.
