Once again, we are breaking into the series tasting wines from each of Italy's twenty wine regions. This article examines a noble red wine from the island of Sicily in southern Italy. It is very far from a bargain wine. We were about a dozen to taste it. I'll be presenting my opinions and those of others.

Everything from chips and dip to fresh prepared you tube slow cooker brisket cooked in a smoker for 16 hours. Hot dogs and sausage are two things that shine at these parties, and it is in the many creative ways people use and prepare them.

A medley of mixed beans and chickpeas made me note the drink's darkness, length, and, alas, the high sugar content. Fruit juice candy made a great match of dark cherries and oak in my glass.

Of course, not everyone is always (or ever) in the mood for such a complicated lunch. So, for the purists of the world, Frances's offers single-stuffed deli sandwiches, such as beef brisket and chicken salad, in addition to wonderfully juicy char-broiled burgers and breakfast skillets and omelets served all day long.

Sure, I love cooking a wide variety of tasty and healthy recipes, but some of my favorite go-to recipes are my simple curry recipes. Even before I started cooking for myself I would grind up spices in a coffee mill to make my own curry powder. In my spice cabinet, it always seems like I'm running out of turmeric. What can I say? My love affair with curry recipes is too deep.

To Saute and Steam Rice (pilaf): Measure some salt and water for your rice and bring to a boil. While waiting for the water to boil heat oil or butter in a lamb curry jar sauce at medium heat. You can also use a mixture of the two. Add the rice to the molten butter or what have you and rouse till the rice is fully coated.

The other ingredients you will need are 4 Alaska halibut fillets, a large onion (chopped into chunks), 4 garlic cloves (coarsely chopped), fresh ginger root (a 1-in piece, peeled and chopped), 5 cashew halves, canola oil (1 tablespoon), cayenne pepper (2 tablespoons, or more if you want), ground turmeric (1/2 teaspoon), ground cumin (1 teaspoon), ground coriander (1 teaspoon), salt (1 teaspoon), white sugar (1 teaspoon), chopped tomato (1/2 cup), vegetable broth (1/4 cup), and fresh cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped). One of the great things about slow cooker lamb curry is that, since there are so many spices involved, you can play around with the amounts a little to create a flavor that is uniquely yours.

An easy way to prepare leg of lamb is rubbing with herbs. Use a 5-7 pound leg of lamb. Combine tablespoon dried parsley flakes, a teaspoon dried mint, a half teaspoon each of onion salt and crushed dried rosemary, a quarter teaspoon or pepper and 2 cloves of slivered garlic. There's a thin layer on the outer surface of the meat to remove and trim the fat from it. Combine the herbs and rub over the meat thoroughly. Place in a roasting pan and cook at 325F oven for 2-3 hours for medium (160F on a meat thermometer, or to 170F for well done. Let the leg of lamb rest for 15 minutes before carving.

In the temple! Heat the butter in a small skillet and add curry leaves and mustard seeds. When the seeds begin to appear, add the chopped shallot and cook until translucent and lightly browned.
