Are you one of those cooks that have learned tender meat is beyond your realm of understanding? Can't seem to get perfect gravy? Do you find yourself turning green with envy when you savor meals at the homes of others while yours seem to lay like lumps on the serving platter? Then perhaps it's time to welcome a slow cooker into your home.

I then add herbs and garlic and some coarse salt to the top. Since I have just oiled the top of the loaf they stick really well to the bread. For a change I might add some sun dried tomatoes and perhaps even some sliced olives. Bake this in the oven just as you would any other loaf of bread and when it comes out you have a wonderful taste treat that you can be proud to serve at any family meal, or perhaps you want to sneak off and eat it all by yourself.
